Define Vegan Diet

How do you define “vegan diet”? Well, a vegan diet is a stricter form of vegetarian diet. Besides not eating meat, a vegan diet does not incorporate any animal products at all. That means no dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, etc.), no eggs, and even no honey, since honey comes from bees.

Also, a vegan would not wear leather shoes or carry a leather purse, since these are also animal products. And of course no fur coats! But as far as diet goes, as I said, a vegan diet is defined as not including any food that comes from an animal at all.

Vegan diets are generally very healthy, because they eliminate a lot of unhealthy and/or fatty foods. As long as you get enough protein, such as from beans, nuts, and soy products, and take a multivitamin supplement, you will get all the nutrition you need on a vegan diet.
